Travel to the Island
Even before Revolution gets kicked off your adventure has begun, leaving your home town you will travel to the UKs South Coast and then board a ferry to the lovely Isle of Wight.  The campsite is about 10-15 minutes from the ferry ports once on the Island.

Disco: Christmas Office Party
We are kicking off the first evening of Revolution 2008 with the Christmas Office party, yes it is that time of year to let your hair down, indulge with social intercourse with explorers and network from all over the UK and do things that you shouldn't do and have many regrets in the morning!  Get on those dancing shoes.

Camp Fire:
Revolution has a tradition of really chilling and relaxing at the end of a great day round a roaring camp fire.  Expect to participate in traditional, explorer & network silly songs and games, a time to really chill.

Friday:
Opening Ceremony:
The morning will see the official Opening Ceremony, in which units will present their unit flags and find out details about the entire adventurous activities.  This will be followed by a Leaders meeting.

Prior to departing site for the off-site activity there will be numerous on-site activities for you to enjoy or time to get back to bed or breakfast.

Boat Adventure
Brand new adventure for 2008 all attendees will be getting on board a boat heading out into the Solent for a unique trip around a sea fort which were built to defend the UK from sea attack.  This should be an experience not to be missed!

Disco: Christmas Eve
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse' little did they know Explorers and Network were in town having a loud disco.  A special treat has also been arranged, so providing that you are good boys and girls you will be able to hang up your stockings and visit Father Christmas in his grotto!  Don't forget the mince pies and brandy!

Camp Fire:
The first night was a social gathering, now the songs and laughter really start!

Saturday
There will be an array of onsite activities including Volleyball, Jenga, Lawn Darts and the arrival of the Bouncy Castle to keep you amused before the much awaited and loved Wightopoly.

Wightopoly:
By popular demand we have brought back Wightopoly, which is a treasure hunt around the beautiful Isle of Wight getting you to answer questions, puzzles, take photo's, requesting you to engage the creative side of you but also to visit a few great activities on route, the activities include;

Recreational Tree Climbing:
Sounds quite simple and something we have all done as kids, wrong.  This is using ropes and harnesses to ascend up trees into the tree canopy, once you have hung around for a while then take the time to descend back to tera furma.  There is no monkeying around in this activity.

Lawn Bowls
We have all seen the grandparents or their friends playing lawn bowls.  Throw the jack to the other end of the lawn and then bowl a weighted bowl to land next to the jack - how hard can it be?  Time to find out as you have a taster session at an indoor lawn bowl venue, one to tell your grand kids (once you have them obviously).

African Drums
We know how much you love making noise, the challenge here is to do it all in rhythm.  After the much loved Samba Drums at Revolution 2006 we know this activity will hit the right beat.

Mountain Biking
Time to get with nature as you take a short scenic cycle ride taking in the lovely sights the Island has to offer, fill your lungs with the fresh air that the Island has to offer.  In groups follow the leader on this off-road adventure.

Xtra Special Karaoke: Christmas Day
After a full day of great activities, it seems that all the treats have come at once as we indulge ourselves into Christmas Evening with a Karaoke with a twist.  Time to shine as you sing away to the classics over the years where the management team will be keeping an eye out for those who could make them a fortune in the singing world.  In our 14th year we are still searching but honestly do not hold out much hope.  The Karaoke will be held off site but only ½ mile down the road.

Camp Fire:
Another evening round the camp fire, there will be many stories from the days activities to reminisce over, for those new to some of the camp fire songs you will be in full voice by now, 'I met a girl in Chicago'.

Sunday:
Starting the day off with some great on-site activities including:

Sumo Wrestling:
The one time that it is fair game to laugh at each others protruding bellys as the larger it is the more of a man you really are!  Wearing only your G-Strings it is time for a face off before belly slapping and then rolling around on the floor may the best Sumo win!

Archery:
For those budding Robin Hoods amongst you it is time to get out the bow & arrow and compete against others for the bullseye.

Aikido:
Nathan from the Management Team will be providing sessions on the martial art of Aikido.  This self defence session could be a valuable skill on how to out manoeuvre those horrible people in the world or how to escape the grasp of your parents as you are being grounded!

Aerobics:
Yes, Yes and Yes our lovely Management Team Cub Leader is back in her leotard for a session of Aeorbics.  It does not matter your personal stamina especially towards the end of Revolution this is a good session to limba up and get the muscles nice a warm before the afternoon activitiy of Head Hunters.

Head hunters:
This is one of our most repeated activities during the history of Revolution as everyone loves it.  Time to split into teams and to break all of the friendships that you have made over the last couple of days as it is War!  This game is played in the woods with each member armed with a rifle containing laser shots, on the sound of the horn... attack attack attack and pin the opponents at their base until you have killed them and captured their flag.  Tactics are often hit or miss but all in all it is a great activity.

Disco: New Years Eve
Being the last evening of the camp and the next day a new day in the year counting down to the start of Revolution 2009 we are have a New Years Eve party.  So come prepared to Party Party and Party.  During the party we will hold the Annual Prestigeous Award Ceremony for those characters that have made Revolution 2008 special, it could be for many a reason including best fancy dress, character of the camp, worst singing and so forth, this will be coupled with the Closing Ceremony - after the heavy partying time to retreat to the camp fire.

Camp Fire:
As you would have guessed by now, the camp fire will be burning bright and all the way until we see the crack of Dawn or as people know it at Revolution 'Dawns Crack'.

Monday
Time to have the social and tearful farewells as we discuss the finer points of Revolution and say the goodbyes until Revolution 2009 our 15th year and already we can tell it will be a year to remember!

As you can see with all the activities lined up we have provided a real Revolutional treat by filling the program.  We have structured the activities so that you will also be able to explore the wonders of the lovely Isle of Wight.

We don't know about you, but we can't wait for Revolution 2008 to start!
